Night of Scenes is back—and this year promises more laughter, excitement, and talent than ever! This annual showcase is a one-night performance featuring a dynamic mix of original comedic scenes, dance, and a show-stopping musical number, all brought to life by members of our Gateway community.

  • Acting: Thurs, June 5 · 6:30–10:00 PM

  • Singing: Sat, June 7 · 10:00–11:00 AM

  • Dancing: Sat, June 7 · 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

WHAT TO ATTEND

  • Non-musical scenes: Acting only

  • Dance number: Dancing only

  • Musical theatre scene: Acting, Singing, and Dancing

Not a "triple threat"? That’s okay! However, if you’d like to be considered for the musical theatre scene, we ask that you audition in all three areas. We’ll do our best to cast you in a scene and role that fits your strengths. Not sure what’s right for you? Email us—we’re happy to help!

REQUIREMENTS

Open to actors ages 18 and up (born on or before June 5, 2007). Registration is required to audition. Please review the production calendar before registering. Once you complete the audition form, we’ll send you everything you need to prepare.

  • Acting – No prep required. We’ll assign scenes to read with others (cold-read/callback style). You’ll have access to these scenes in advance if you'd like to review them.

  • Singing – Prep required. After registering, we’ll send you a 30-second vocal excerpt to learn. You’ll sing it once solo, then once in a group.

  • Dancing – Prep required. You’ll receive a video of a dance combo to learn ahead of time. At the audition, we’ll review it briefly and then dance in small groups. Don’t forget—facial expressions count!

PRODUCTION CALENDAR

For regular rehearsals, each scene will rehearse for about half of each window (either early or late slot). If you’re only available during part of a time window, you can let us know in your registration form.

Dates in bold are required. Availability for these four dates is mandatory to participate in Night of Scenes.
