Do you know a child looking to grow in their performance abilities? We are thrilled to present a camp experience for kids entering grades 1–3! This 3-day half-day camp will allow your child to grow in acting, singing, and dancing and also participate in morning worship, small groups, and fun game breaks.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Mini Camp Registration fee is $85

  • Families are invited to see a glimpse of what campers worked on in a classroom family presentation. The family presentation will immediately follow the final camp rotation

  • A morning snack will be provided each day. Mini Camp will not have a break for lunch. 

  • Space is limited and is expected to fill quickly.

  • Cost of registration will not be refunded if canceled after May 13, 2025.

Gpa Kids PErFORMIng ARTS camp


Join Gateway Performing Arts for our camp production intensive for kids entering grades 4–6.

Campers will enjoy all the fun of a typical camp along with a full thirty-minute production experience including costuming, makeup, and lights! Through this 6-day journey, campers will spend time in worship, small groups, and breakout sessions (including games, costume crafts, and more!). All the while, they will develop new skills as they rehearse and present Annie KIDS.

IMPORTANT DATES

VIDEO AUDITIONS | Audition videos for leading, supporting, and featured roles due Wednesday, June 4 at 11:59 pm

REQUIRED DANCE AUDITION | All campers will be assigned a 30 minute time slot on Saturday, June 21, 12:00-1:30pm to review and perform a dance combination in groups

CALLBACKS | Saturday, June 21, 12:00-3:30pm; Exact callback schedule by character TBD

PRE-CAMP REHEARSALS | Monday–Tuesday, June 30– July 1, 9:00am–3:00pm; Exact rehearsal schedule by character TBD

CAMP DAYS | Monday–Thursday, July 7–10, 9:00am–3:00pm, Friday, July 11, 9:00am–7:00pm, and Saturday, July 12, 11:00am–2:30 pm*

PERFORMANCES | Friday, July 11 at 6:00pm, Saturday, July 12 at 1:00pm*

  • *Campers will be double-cast, performing in either the Friday night OR Saturday afternoon show. Casting will determine which performance campers are assigned to, and in turn the camper's exact pick up time on Friday (4:30 or 7:00pm), and if needed, attendance on Saturday.

  • Submitting an audition video is optional. Auditions are for role placement purposes only. Audition materials and instructions will be provided in the registration confirmation email. Those who submit audition videos may be invited to attend callbacks. Not every child who submits a video will receive a specific character callback, and not every child who is called back for a specific role will be cast in that role. Every camper has a guaranteed spot in the cast of Annie KIDS.

  • The dance audition is a requirement for all campers. Campers must have a parent or guardian present for the duration of the dance audition and callbacks. 

  • Pre-camp rehearsals will be treated like a rehearsal schedule with call times and release times varying by the show content being covered and the characters needed for that content. Exact call times for these rehearsals will be made available at the time of casting. Not all characters may be needed at pre-camp rehearsals.

  • Camp performances are Friday, July 11 at 6pm and Saturday, July 12 at 1pm. Tickets will be available for purchase for $10.

  • A week of new friends and FUN growing in their gifts and talents while learning more about how to be a performer through the lens of scripture


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Kids Camp Registration fee is $250

  • Campers will provide their own show costume, show shoes, and modesty wear underneath those costumes.

  • All campers will bring their own sack-lunch for camp. Snacks each day and a Chick-fil-a meal before the camper’s assigned performance will be provided.

  • Parents of campers are encouraged to join the private Facebook group for camp updates and resources. Further information will be provided in the registration confirmation email. 

  • Space is limited and is expected to fill quickly.

  • A deposit of $100 is due at the time of registration. Final balance must be paid in full by June 4, 2025. Cost of registration will not be refunded if canceled after June 4, 2025.

Gpa YOUTh PErFORMIng ARTS camp


Join Gateway Performing Arts for our annual summer camp production intensive!

Students entering 7th grade–graduating 2025 seniors will enjoy a 6-day performing arts intensive where they will grow as artists and present an hour long production! Campers will create community in rehearsals and breakout sessions (including costuming, audition dance prep, social media marketing for theater, and more!). They will also be encouraged through worship and dedicated small group time. The week will conclude with 3 performances of Newsies JR! Those cast as leading and select supporting roles will attend an additional 3-day rehearsal session to prepare their roles.

GPA CAMp shadow Experience


Being a Camp Shadow is a special and rewarding experience (for teens ages 13 – 18) to grow in their theatrical talents, leadership abilities, and ministry while serving campers alongside the adult camp staff and fellow teen shadows. Potential Camp Shadows are invited to apply for our GPA Mini Camp or GPA Kids Camp.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet campers with excitement at the start of the day with fellow teen shadows

  • Help lead games and/or worship during Overture and Game Breaks

  • Serve alongside a content leader teaching material, a counselor specializing in camper relationships, or our camp coordinator helping camp run behind the scenes

  • Lead a conversational small group/prayer time with an adult camp leader

  • Assist with errands, bathroom breaks, and check out procedures

  • Work backstage during camp performances on stage crew, mic team, or in costumes (Kids Camp only)

  • Build a relationship with kids by encouraging them, playing with them, and talking with them

  • Embody a willing heart to accomplish any other needed tasks

  • Have FUN while experiencing camp with your friends!

In addition to leadership experience and mentorship by GPA leadership, Camp Shadows receive exclusive leader merch, early registration for GPA Youth Camp, an invitation to the Camp Celebration Dinner, and the opportunity to create lasting friendships with fellow teen shadows.
